BANGALORE : Sri Lankan batsman Charith Asalanka went unsold as no team opted to bid. His base price was INR 50 Lakhs. At the same time of the Auction, Asalanka was bowled out by Pat Cummins for no runs in Sydney playing in the second T20 against Australia. This may have had an impact on the decision of the teams not to bid for Asalanka.
Sri Lankan pacer Chamika Karunarathne was sold to Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) for 50 Lakhs (his base price) which in LKR 13.5 million.
147 players have been sold up to now and the total amount spent up to now is INR 5,07,95,00,000. Four Sri Lankan cricketers were sold in the auction up to now. Ishan Kishan remains the most expensive player at a massive price of INR 15.25 crore (by Mumbai Indians).
