Dubai : Delhi Capitals (DC) was in shock with RCB’s Bharat hitting the last ball for a six needing 5 runs to win. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RC ) finished off with a win by 7 wickets chasing 164 runs. RCB finished at 3rd place in the IPL 2021 group standing.
RCB winning the toss invited DC to bat first. DC reached 164 runs for 5 wickets off 20 overs. The opening pair of Prithvi Shaw (48) and Shikhar Dhawan (43) contributed 88 runs for the opening partnership. Mohamed Siraj bowled well for RCB with 2 for 25 runs.
RCB chased down the target by hitting 166 runs for the loss of 3 wickets with scintillating batting contributions from Srikar Bharat ( 78 runs) and Glenn Maxwell (51 runs).
DC will meet CSK for the 1st qualifier match on 10th October 2021. RCB will meet KKR in the eliminator match on 11th October 2021.
