

COLOMBO :- The Indonesian ambassador to Sri Lanka and Maldives,H.E. Dewi Gustina Tobing, accompanied by theDefence Attache of the Republic of Indonesia in India, Rear Admiral Ardiansyah Muqsit and
the Indonesian Embassy Staff in Colombo welcomed the arrival of KRI Diponegoro-365 at the
Port of Colombo on Tuesday, Feb.4
KRI Diponegoro-365 has successfully carried out its noble task as apeacekeeping force in Lebanon which is part of the TNI Konga XXVIII-O/UNIFIL MTF TaskForce. The return of KRI Diponegoro does not mean that Indonesia has finished participating jn maintaining peace in Lebanon. As the task of that corvette type warship has been replaced by KRI Sultan Iskandar Muda (SIM)-367.
KRI Diponegoro-365, commanded by Lieutenant Colonel (P) Wirastyo Haprabu, stopped in
Colombo for two days on January 4-5, 2025 for logistics and fuel resupply. KRI Diponegoro
365, named after a brave Indonesian national hero, is a modern SIGMA 9113-class warship
that is the pride of the Indonesian Navy. With advanced technology, state-of-the-art weaponry,
and trained crews, KRI Diponegoro is ready to face any threats at sea, maintaining Indonesia’s
sovereignty and maritime security.
In her remarks, Ambassador Dewi said that it was the Indonesian Embassy’s duty to help
make the peace mission carried out by KRI Diponegoro-365 a success by facilitating the re-
supply process during its stopover in Colombo. The Indonesian Ambassador also expressed
her pride in all the dedication, devotion, and achievements of all soldiers while carrying out
their duties as mandated by the UN, as well as playing an important role in Indonesia’s
diplomatic mission while in Lebanon.
On that occasion, Ambassador Dewi also had a special discussion with nine members of the
Indonesian Women’s Navy Corps who are part of the KRI Dipenogoro-365. This meeting
provided an opportunity for them to share experiences and insights gained during their mission
in the peacekeeping operation at the Lebanon border.
KRI Diponegoro-365 departed from Colombo on Wednesday ,January 5, 2025, at 17.30 local time to Indonesia
