COLOMBO — The 79th Anniversary of Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia at the embassy premises on Tuesday August 27.
It was held under the patronage of Ambassador of Indonesia Dewi Gustina Tobing
Minister of Education Susil Premajayanth was present as chief guest and cut the cake along with Ambassador of Indonesia Dewi Gustina Tobing.to mark the occasion.
The event was attended by a large number of participants including the Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena, Members of Parliament, Diplomats, Religious Leaders, Indonesian Community, officials and families of the Embassy, Officials of the Sri Lankan Indonesia Friendship Association, Representatives of Muslim Institutions and friends of Indonesia were present.
Students presented various cultural events at this ceremony.
