



ABU DHABI: The big league starts today with twelve (12) teams competing for four (4) positions to play in the semi – finals. With the conclusion of the group games yesterday at Sharjah, the 4 teams that join the Super 12s is now decided. The two groups battling it out for ICC Men’s T20 World Cup are as follows.
Group 1: Australia, England, South Africa, West Indies, Sri Lanka (A1) and Bangladesh (B2)
Group 2 : Afghanistan , India, Pakistan, New Zealand ,Scotland (B1) and Namibia (A2)
Two Group 1 matches are scheduled today (Saturday, October 23)
Australia Vs South Africa – 3.30 pm (IST) – Zayed Cricket Stadium, Abu Dhabi
England Vs West Indies – 7.30 pm (IST) – Dubai International Stadium, Dubai
In the warmup matches played by the top 8 teams leading up to the Super 12s, Australia won against New Zealand and lost to India while England won against New Zealand but lost to India. South Africa won both their matches against Pakistan and Afghanistan. West Indies the defending T20 champion, lost both their matches to Afghanistan and Pakistan.(RZ)
