DUBAI: The semifinalists and the order of play of the ICC Men’s T20 world cup is now confirmed further to Pakistan’s win against Scotland short while ago.
Group 1
As per the final standings of Group 1, England leads with 4 wins out of 5 matches played and a net run rate 2.464. Australia fills the 2nd position in the points table with 4 wins out of 5 matches and a run rate on 1.216
Group 1 was a closely fought group with South Africa falling to 3rd position only due to lower run rate on 0.739 after winning 4 out of 5 games.
In the Super 12s, England lost to South Africa, while Australia lost to England and South Africa lost to Australia.
Group 2
The top two teams in Group 2 is Pakistan with a clean sweep of 5 wins. New Zealand is the second team with 4 wins out of 5, losing only to Pakistan in the Super 12s. Although, one more match is remaining between India and Namibia on Monday, it would not have any effect on the top two.
