MUSCAT : Round 1 match: Scotland swiftly moves to Super 12s from Group B along with Bangladesh who qualified in the earlier match after win over Papua New Guinea (PNG).
Oman showed promise, however, Scotland displayed a super performance to restrict Oman to 122 runs off 20 overs. Aqib Ilyas batted well for 37 runs and Oman captain Maqsood scored 34 runs. Josh Davey bowled well to curtail Oman with a spell of 3 for 25.
Scotland was calm and composed in the chase with Coetzer scoring 41 runs to go past the winning line. Scotland chasing 122 runs reached the target in the 17th over for fall of 2 wickets.
Scotland now walks into the Super 12s proudly winning all three round 1 matches. Scotland will play against Afghanistan in the first Super 12s match scheduled on Monday, October 25 (RZ)
