COLOMBO: Sri Lanka’s Former Ambassador to Russia Udayanga Weeratunga once again hinted about that Ex-President Gotabaya Rajapaksa would return to Sri Lanka on Sept.3
He said there is no security issue in Sri Lanka for the Former President, however, those around him would drag him back to politics, and feared it could lead to another uprising from the people.
“I don’t think the people of this country would accept Gotabaya Rajapaksa again. Because for the past two and half years he ruined the future of our children. I think he is not suitable for politics. He will be a good person to carry out some minor tasks, and that’s what he did as Defence Secretary. But that’s not enough to rule a country,” he said. (News First)
