COLOMBO :
Where does one witness genocide,
Unleashed upon the unarmed:
Children, pregnant mothers, elders
As blood drenches, endlessly oozing,
And bodies lie scattered in the rubble?
One place on earth, where savagery
And ethnic cleansing walk side by side
It is in Gaza, by Israel’s satanic forces,
Heartless, bloodthirsty to the core
Not human, but monstrous in nature.
The world watches this eerie spectacle
But not Iran; it stands tall to defend.
Shielded by America’s wielded veto,
The UN, reduced to a hollow voice
Stands powerless to restrain Israel.
Salt poured upon a festering wound:
Arab nations: silent, unmoved, mere onlookers
Have they forgotten Khalid ibn al-Walid’s valor,
Or Omar Mukhtar, the Lion of the Desert?
Such betrayal defies all understanding.
Since the time of the infamous Nakba,
Gaza’s people have lived in a living hell
Thousands of lives massacred,
Homes razed and obliterated;
Even Hitler’s cruelty pales in comparison.
Confined to makeshift ghettos,
Enduring a wretched existence,
Denied food, water, and medicine
The hallmarks of Israel’s atrocity,
A 21st-century Holocaust, indeed.
Yet the spirit of Gaza will never die:
From mother’s womb to the tomb,
Martyrdom and valor run in their veins.
A thousand more will rise forward,
Clamoring for a free Palestine.
Viva la Palestina!
Victory is certain!
