
COLOMBO : Renowned Sri Lankan philanthropist and entrepreneur Nahil Wijesuriya has donated Rs. 600 million to S. Thomas’ College, Mount Lavinia via the Old Trinitians Sports Club, his alma mater.
The contribution, made through the Agnes Wijesuriya Foundation for Children and Elders, will fund the construction of a state-of-the-art Information Technology building at S. Thomas’ College, marking a significant step forward in the school’s digital infrastructure and educational development.
This act of benevolence not only highlights Mr. Wijesuriya’s enduring commitment to education and youth empowerment but also reinforces the historic bond between Trinity College, Kandy and S. Thomas’ College, both founded during the British colonial era and long celebrated as brother institutions.
