
COLOMBO : Former Sri Lankan president Mahinda Rajapaksa paid a courtesy visit to the Palestine embassy on Monday,October 16, to convey his concerns and share the sorrows with the people of Palestine due to the ongoing Israeli aggression against Palestine.
Rajapaksa met with Zuhair Hamdallah Zaid, Ambassador of Palestine to Sri Lanka and discussed the present war situation in the affected area.
Rajapaksa said : “I have consistently supported the Palestinian cause as the Founder and President of the Sri Lanka Society for Solidarity with Palestine. War is never a solution”
Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa also visited the mission to express his concerns on the war situation. He was accompanied by Imtiaz Markar,member of parliament.
