Deputy Speaker attends Iftar at Indian Summer restaurant
COLOMBO : Former Ambassador and retired senior Foreign Service diplomat, A.M.J. Sadiq, together with Afthab Selabdeen, owner of the Indian Summer restaurant in Colombo jointly hosted an Iftar/Dinner at the restaurant on Saturday, 15th March.
The Deputy Speaker of the Parliament, Dr Rizvie Salih graced the occasion, which was also attended by Parliamentarians, President’s Counsel Faiszer Musthapha, President’s Counsel Nizam Kariapper and Engineer Arkam Ilyas, Colombo Times chief editor Mohammed Rasooldeen, as well as the High Commissioners of Bangladesh, Malaysia, Maldives and Pakistan, and the Ambassadors of Egypt, Oman and Turkiye. The Honorary Consul of Tunisia, Mr Mukthar Marikkar and prominent dentist, Dr Farhim Jameel, accompanied by the spouses of some of the invitees were also present.
