NEGOMBO: Fishermen in the Negombo coastal who have been suffering from want of kerosene for their daily work has directly appealed to India to supply the oil free of charge to the fishernen who are in dire state
Gampaha District Member of Parliament Dr. Kavinda Jayawardena said who was leading a massive protest in Negombo on Sunday, Aug,28. Said that the group had appealed to India to help them in this matter which would help earn their daily bread,
Kavinda Jayawardena said the above while participating in the protest against the increase in the price of kerosene oil.
He also said that he made an effort to get free oil to the fishermen through the Indian High Commissioner. I have also requested the President in this regard. Relevant documents have been sent to him too,
