COLOMBO : At just 19 years of age, Fida Fahmy celebrated the launch of her debut novel, The Girls from Istanbul, at a memorable event held last week at GAP HQ in Colombo.
The occasion was graced by Semih Lütfü Turgut, Ambassador of Türkiye as the Chief Guest. Rauff Hakeem, MP, attended as the Guest of Honour, while Ali Sabry, PC, was the Special Guest.
The event was also attended by former ambassadors, academics, entrepreneurs, distinguished invitees, family members, friends, and well-wishers, all of whom gathered to celebrate this remarkable milestone in the young author’s literary journey.
