COLOMBO : The Indonesian ambassador to Sri Lanka is Dewi Gustina Tobing hosted a Farewell Dinner for Sashikala Premawardhane, Ambassador Designate of Sri Lanka to Indonesia and ASEAN, at the Ambassador’s Residence.
The dinner was also attended by ASEAN Ambassadors in Colombo — Badli Hisham Adam, High Commissioner of Malaysia; Pyaitoon Mahapannaporn, Ambassador of Thailand; Marlar Than Htaik, Ambassador of Myanmar; and Trinh Thi Tam, Ambassador of Vietnam.
The host extended best wishes to Sashikala on her upcoming posting to Indonesia, expressing hope that her assignment will further strengthen the long-standing ties between Indonesia and Sri Lanka.

Sashikala, in her response, conveyed her deep appreciation to Ambassador Tobing for the warm gesture and friendship, and reaffirmed her commitment to further enhancing bilateral and regional cooperation between Sri Lanka, Indonesia, and ASEAN.
The evening was filled with warmth and togetherness, featuring Indonesian dishes such as beef rendang, chicken satay, sweet and sour fish, seafood noodles, tofu stir-fry, and jackfruit curry, followed by a joyful karaoke session together..
