COLOMBO : US ambassador Julie Chung paid a courtesy call on the Environment Minister Hafiz Naseer Ahamed the ministry head office on Thursday, June 30.
Following the meeting, Minister Ahamed said : “Had the opportunity to discuss with US Ambassador Julie Chung possibilities of partnering in development of ecotourism, climate change mitigation strategies and attracting US investments in mining & mineral based industries and renewable energy.”
During the talks, the focus on the discussions were on developing ecotourism in the country, climate change and cooperation between the two countries in mining and minerals based investments.
