COLOMBO: Ambassador of United Arab Emirates Khaled Nasser Sulaiman AlAmeri,paid a courtesy call on the Minister of Environment Hafiz Naseer Ahamed at the headquarters of the Ministry in Battaramulla on Thursday, June 9.
Speaking to Colombo Times, Minister Ahamed said the talks were centered on bilateral partnership in environment-related activities and renewable energy programs between two countries.
The minister took the opportunity of detailing the attractive investment opportunities available in Sri Lanka for a country such as the United Arab Emirates. The two parties also discussed maters on the supply of oil.
The envoy invited the minister to visit UAE at a convenient time.
Ministry Secretary Dr. Anil Jasinghe and former diplomat T.Z . Samsudeen were also present during the discussions.
