COLOMBO: There was an emotional moment in yesterday’s game between Issipathana and St.Joseph where Pathanas beat St Joseph by 28 to 18. One of the tries for Issipathana was scored by Hashen Randimal whose mother has passed away only the day before, and he played while the remains of his mother was lying at his home. He showed no signs of emotions, and it was moving to watch how his teammates consoled him after the match when he broke down. It was also moving to watch the entire defeated Josephian team went straight to Hashen’s house with flower wreaths to pay their last respects. (MOWSIL)
