COLOMBO : Azath Salley, leader of the National United Alliance and Former Western Province Governor, said that Ranil Wickramasinghe as the eighth executive president of the country has been accepted by the parliament as a great achievement of democracy.
Congratulating the new President Wickremesinghe, he further said, “The new President is a legend in politics who counts more than four decades of experience when public life.
No matter how many challenges he had to face in politics, he did not give up, he followed democratic policies and principles.
Righteousness, frankness and dedication and sincerity in his services have helped reach this high.
Since he is popular in the global arena he will be able to move many countries towards helping Sri Lanka during the economic crisis.
Now that he has called all political parties to join him. on his national goal, let us rally round him to help Sri Lanka overcome this problem
