COLOMBO :
Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar!
The President, General Secretary, Treasurer, Executive Committee Members and Staff of All Ceylon Jamiyyathul Ulama extends warm wishes to all Sri Lankan Muslims for a joyous Eid-ul-Adha.
This blessed day is a divine reminder of the sacrifices made by Prophet Ibrahim (PBUH), his wife, and his son, Prophet Ismail (PBUH). Their selflessness serves as a profound example for the entire Muslim community, illustrating that true success in life is rooted in sacrifice. It also highlights how individual, familial, and communal sacrifices can pave the way for a nation’s prosperous future.
On this sacred day, we are encouraged to perform Uldhiyya and engage in other acts of worship, in accordance to the teachings of Islam. These acts commemorate the noble sacrifice of Prophet Ibrahim (PBUH) and his son Prophet Ismail (PBUH), who were steadfast in fulfilling Allah’s command.
We should also acquire the lessons taught through these events, such as the importance of obedience to Allah, devotion, sacrifice, patience, piety, and exemplary parenting. Cultivating these virtues within ourselves and our families is essential for achieving success in this life and the Hereafter.
The ACJU prays that Almighty Allah bestows peace and unity in our country and around the world.
On this special occasion, we pray to Almighty Allah to bless our nation and the world with enduring peace and unity.
‘Takabbalallahu minna wa minkum. Eid Mubarak!
