As we gather to celebrate Eid ul-Adha, I extend my warmest greetings to all celebrating around the world. This blessed occasion is a time to reflect on the values of sacrifice, empathy, and compassion that unite us across faiths and communities.
Eid ul-Adha is a reminder that the spirit of sacrifice and selflessness should guide us in our daily lives. It is an opportunity for us to strengthen the bonds within our communities and reaffirm our shared commitment to peace and harmony.
This year, I am deeply moved by the generosity and solidarity shown by our people. Even in challenging times, Sri Lankans have continued to extend a helping hand to those in need, demonstrating the resilience and kindness that define our nation.
As we perform the ritual of sacrifice and share our blessings with others, let us also remember those who are suffering across the world. The people of Palestine remain in our duas, and we stand in unwavering solidarity with them in their quest for justice and peace. I urge everyone to keep them in your prayers and to advocate for the protection of their rights and dignity.
May this Eid be a source of peace, joy, and prosperity for all. Let us work together to create a more inclusive and compassionate society, where every person’s rights and freedoms are safeguarded.
Eid Mubarak!
