Eid Ul Fitr Message
COLOMBO
On the joyous occasion of Eid ul-Fitr, I extend my warmest greetings to all Muslims in Sri Lanka and around the world.
Eid ul-Fitr marks the culmination of the holy month of Ramadan, a time of fasting, reflection, and spiritual growth. It is a day of gratitude, compassion, and unity, reminding us of the importance of caring for one another and strengthening the bonds within our communities.
This blessed occasion calls upon us to carry forward the values we have embraced during Ramadan such as patience, generosity, and empathy into our daily lives. Let us use this moment to renew our commitment to peace, harmony, and coexistence among all communities in our nation.
As we celebrate with our families and loved ones, let us also remember those who are less fortunate and extend a helping hand to those in need. True celebration lies in sharing our blessings and uplifting others.
I also urge everyone to keep those facing hardship and injustice around the world in their prayers, and to continue striving for a more just and peaceful society.
May this Eid bring happiness, good health, and prosperity to all.
Eid Mubarak!
