COLOMBO: Ambassador of Egypt Maged Mosleh paid a courtesy call on Environment Minister Naseer Ahamed at the Ministry of Environment on Monday, September 5.
The discussios were focused on the 2022 United Nations Climate Change Conference,(UNFCCC – COP 27) which will be the 27th United Nations Climate Change conference, to be held from 6 to 18 November 2022 in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt
Ambassador officially invited Sri Lankan Environment Minister to the COP summit and COP organisers are expected to Invite Prsident Ranil Wickramasinghe for the heads of the state summit of the COP 27.
Also they discussed possibilities of sharing knowledge related to Environment activities.
Environment Minister’s Advisor former Defence Secretary Mr. Karunasena Hettiarachchi, Environment Ministry officials and Foreign Ministry officials were present during the discussions.
