COLOMBO: Just a day before Christmas, eggs are sold in the open market at 30 rupees beating all speculations for the prices to go up as high as 60 rupees.
Last year, eggs were sold at 65 during the same period.
Customers who stocked the eggs when It was 38 rupees , were disappointed when the prices went so low as 30 on Monday, just two days before. Christmas.
