COLOMBO –A number of individuals, who have violated the health guidelines, have been detained during special drone operations conducted in some parts of Colombo and surrounding areas.
Police Spokesperson, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Ajith Rohana said four individuals were arrested during the operation, while 27 were warned and released.
The drone operation was conducted covering the Grandpass, Keselwatta, and Maligawatta on Sunday,May 23.
The drone operation was jointly carried out by the Police and the Special Task Force (STF) to monitor those who were gathering in violation of the quarantine law.
