COLOMBO : The Deputy High Commissioner of Sri Lanka in Chennai Dr. D. Venkateshwaran organized a get-together at his official residences on 11 November, 2022 for all heads of Diplomatic Missions based in Chennai, to share the joy and happiness of Diwali among the Diplomatic Corps.
Apart from the heads of Diplomatic Mission, the Head of the Branch Secretariat, Ministry of External Affairs, Chennai, Foreign Regional Registration Officer, Chennai and Head of the Field office – Chennai, UNHCR were also invited to the event.
Deputy High Commissioner welcomed invitees and thanked them for their participation despite adverse weather conditions prevailing in Chennai. He further stated that it was an opportunity for the invitees to experience Sri Lankan culture and cuisine. A cocktail followed by a dinner with Sri Lankan delicacies was served at the event.
