COLOMBO:The House will commence the three-day Adjournment Debate on the President’s Policy Statement from Tuesday, Aug,9.
President Ranil Wickremesinghe presented his Policy Statement last Wednesday (03) during the Ceremonial Opening of the Third Session of the Ninth Parliament. The debate will continue on Wednesday (10) and Friday (12).
The Adjournment Debate will be moved by the Chief Organizer of the Opposition, MP Lakshman Kiriella. The Opposition requested a debate on the Policy Statement at the Party Leaders’ Meeting. It was considered by the Speaker of the House.
