COLOMBO -The Cultural Centre of the Embassy of Iran in Colombo organized Meelad un Nabi Celebration and All Island Quirath and Hifz Competition Awards Ceremony at the Cultural Center Auditorium on Saturday October 7. It was held under the patronage of Cultural Counsellor Dr. B. Moazami Goodarzi.
Chief Guest Leader of the Sri Lanka Muslim Congress Rauff Hakeem MP along with the new Iranian Ambassador Dr. Ali Reza Delkhosh and Cultural Counsellor Dr. B. Moazami Goodarzi w distributed awards and certificates to the winners of the competition.
Winner of Hifz Competition Senior Male Al Hafil Mohamed Rizni Zarook of Panadura received award and certificates.
Chief of Economic and Consular Section Embassy of the Islam of Iran K. Soheil, Chief of Political Section Seyyed Mostafa Hashemi, Senior Journalist Colombo Times Chief Editor Mohammad Rasooldeen, Madarasathul Hudhaa Principal Ustaadh Qari M. Nuhman Athas and prize winners with their parents were also present.
