Havana : Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez denounced on Monday that a Memorandum signed by President Donald Trump further tightens the US aggressive policy of Cuba and strengthen the economic blockade, with damaging effects on the Cuban people and their development.
On his Twitter account, https://tinyurl.com/bdzb9jzm Rodriguez wrote that the presidential memorandum against Cuba, released on Monday by the US administration tightens the aggression and the economic blockade to punish the Cuban people.
President Donald Trump signed a memorandum https://tinyurl.com/3wmarsry to strengthen his hardline policy against Cuba while reverting actions implemented by his predecessor Joe Biden.
The memo establishes a legal prohibition on US tourism to Cuba and backs the US economic, commercial and financial blockade. The action opposes all petitions by the United Nations and other international forums to lift the US hostile policy against the island.
With the new memorandum, the US President renewed the prohibition on any direct or indirect financial transaction with Cuban entities like the corporation known as “Grupo de Administracion Empresarial” (GAESA) and its branch offices.
