ISLAMABAD: A condolence reference was held in Islamabad, today, to pay tributes to the veteran Hurriyat leader, Syed Ali Gilani, on his first martyrdom anniversary.
Minister for Human Rights, Riaz Hussain Pirzada, was the chief guest of condolence reference organized by Radio Pakistan and Youth Forum for Kashmir.
On the occasion, Riaz Hussain Pirzada said Syed Ali Gilani was the symbol of Kashmir freedom movement. He said the veteran leader always raised the slogan that we are Pakistanis and Pakistan is ours. He said this slogan is reverberating in every part of the world.
The Minister said Kashmiri people want solution of Kashmir dispute in line with the United Nations resolutions. He urged the United Nations and Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to take concrete steps for the resolution of this long-pending dispute.
Other participants also paid glowing tributes to Syed Ali Gilani for his lifelong struggle for the right of self-determination of Kashmiri people.
