COLOMBO — The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and The Embassy of Iran jointly organized Condolence Programme on the demise of the Iranian President late Dr. Ebrahim Raisi who lost his life in a helicopter crash along with eight others at the Kollupitiya Jumma Mosque premises Wednesday May 22.
Welcome address delivered by Mohamed Uvais Mohamed on behalf of the Mosque.
Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Tharaka Balasuriya and Ambassador of Islamic Republic of Iran Dr. Alireza Delkhosh addressed the gathering.
Chief Imam of the Mosque Ash Sheik Al Hafil A.B.M. Rizwan conducted special prayers at this ceremony.
Members of Parliament AHM Fowzie, Mujibur Rahuman, Cultural Counselor of the Iran Cultural Center Dr. Moazami Goodarzi , Defence Attaché Homayoun Aliyari, Former Governor Azath Salley, Foreign Ministry Officials, Board of Trustees of the Kollupitiya Mosque, Representatives of Muslim Organization and Media Personnel’s were also present.
The programme was compered by Rizan Nazeer ,trustee of the Kollupitiya mosque.
