COLOMBO – The Dharmashakthi Organisation and Kollupitiya Masjid Federation jointly organised Inter Religious Ifthar ceremony at the Sri Isipathanarama Viharaya, Grandpass, Colombo on Thursday March 20.
It was held under the patroange of Mahanayake Thero of Amarapura Maha Nikaya and President of the Dharmashakthi Orgnization Ven. Dr. Madampagama Assaji Thissa.
The chief guest of the ceremony Governor of the Western Province Hanif Yoosuf. Buddhist, Hindu, Christian and Islam religious leaders were also present.
Muslim Religious and Cultural Affairs Director M.S.M. Nawas, Colombo Times Chief Editor Mohammed Rasooldeen, Kollupitiya Masjid Federation President Rizan Hussain, JJ Foundation President Dr. I.Y.M. Haniff, Association of Muslim Youth of Sailan Director Ash Sheik M.S.M. Thassim, Grandpass Police Officer in Charge along with members of Buddhist, Hindu, Christian and Islamic communities were also present.
