COLOMBO : The highly anticipated grand spectacle of the Zahira OBA Inter-Group Sports Championship 2023 successfully concluded on Sunday, August 27, on the College grounds.

Shiraz, the OBA meticulously executed the games on a staggered basis due to a plethora of events. They conducted them professionally with utmost precision.
Almost three months of hard work with unwavering commitment from the organizing committee, under the direction of Mr. Marso, who orchestrated the following sporting events, including several indoor games, with the able assistance from 16 game directors:
Go Karting (Speed Bay Port City)
Bowling (ExcelWorld)
8 Ball Pool (Moors Sports Club)
Badminton (Enderamulla Sellam Gedara Sports Complex)
Futsal (Indoor World)
Beach Volley Ball (Mabel & Sunil Cabin – Mt.Lavinia)
Football, Cricket, Rugby, Triathlon, Swimming, Table Tennis, Rifle Shooting, Hockey, Do You Know Quiz, and the Tug of War.
OBA’s past president, Mr. Nuhuman Hussain, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Over 25 affiliated groups, under the Youth, Masters, and Grand Masters categories keenly participated in a sense of togetherness and showcased their athletic prowess.
B 98 emerged triumphant as the overall champion 2023. Trizviiy Marikkar, the principal, distributed the trophies to the respective teams.
The primary objective of the OBA for hosting this annual sports day in camaraderie spirit is to foster fellowship and revive sportsmanship among its alumni. A large number of old boys participated and enjoyed the fun-filled day.
