COLOMBO : Colombo is set to host the International Twin Congress 2025 on August 10, 11, and 12.
This event will bring together a distinguished assembly of international scholars, researchers, and twins from across the globe, marking a historic moment for both Sri Lanka and the global scientific community.
The Congress is a joint gathering of the 8th Congress on Twin Pregnancy: A Global Perspective and the 20th Congress of the International Society of Twin Studies (ISTS).
It promises to be a landmark event in the field of twin studies, with groundbreaking research, collaborative discussions, and cultural exchange at its core.
“This Congress is very, very important because it’s a landmark in our history. In my opinion, this level of Congress is unprecedented,” said Prof. Athula Sumathipala, Secretary General of the ISTS.
The event is expected to feature a rich program of keynote speeches, panel discussions, and scientific presentations, covering a wide range of topics from genetics and epigenetics to twin health, psychology, and social development.
Adding a unique cultural dimension to the Congress, a special prelude event titled Twin Talent Fest 2025 will be held on June 14, showcasing the extraordinary talents of local twins.
