COLOMBO :Government will implement recommendations of the Presidential Commission of Inquiry (PCoI) that investigated the Easter Sunday attacks in relation to Madrasa schools,Education Minister Prof. G.L.Peiris said the Education Ministry said on Tuesday.
“There should be some control over Madrasa institutions and the government is bound to implement the Commission’s recommendations in relation to the Madrasa schools,” Prof.Peiris said.
He added that the recommendations given by the Commission need to be implemented and extremist ideologies in the curriculum should be removed.
However the Minister opined that the Bodubala Sena organization should not be banned. “It is not appropriate to ban the Bodubala Sena organization as proscribing an organization of this nature would not benefit the country,” he said.
