COLOMBO- The Chief Executive Officer of the Western Hospital in Colombo Omar Sheriff passed away under tragic circumstances, on Saturday evening on Jan 14
According to sources, Omar,40, had suffered a cardiac arrest while he was playing cricket with his friends in Ragama,some 10 kms away from the capital of Colombo.
He is the son of Professor Rizvi and Ameenah Sheriff and brother of of Dr Riqaz Sheriff and Dr Habeeba Sheriff. He is survived by his wife Zainab and his daughter Malaika
Janaza will take place at Jawatha Muslim Burial Grounds on Sunday January 15 after Asar Prayers from Fairfield Garden, Borella, Colombo 8
