COLOMBO : There will be a candle light vigil organised by former minister Faiszer Musthapha P.C to express solidarity with South Africa which has taken the issue of genocide in Palestine before the International Court of Justice.
This is a non political event. Those interested have been requested to attend the event on Wednesday,on Jan.10 at 5.45Pm IA at Independence Square.

Why would the President go to the Non-Aligned Conference if he was to maintain a pro-American policy and send a navy to the Red Sea? Sri Lanka Muslim Congress leader Raub Hakeem angrily raised a question in Parliament today (9).
He added,
Mr. Speaker, you know. You and I have been to Uganda. The President will travel there on the 18th to attend a conference of heads of state in non-aligned countries. Now what is the non-alignment policy of this country? A pro-American policy?
If the president is sending our navy to the Red Sea to eliminate the Houthis for the needs of America and Israel, why should he go to a conference of non-aligned heads of government? he asked.
