COLOMBO : As his diplomatic tenure in Sri Lanka comes to a close, Canadian High Commissioner Eric Walsh paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya at the Prime Minister’s Office.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Amarasuriya expressed deep appreciation for Walsh’s contributions to enhancing bilateral relations between Sri Lanka and Canada.
She highlighted his openness and commitment as key factors in fostering stronger diplomatic and developmental cooperation.
High Commissioner Walsh also briefed the Prime Minister on Canada’s education system, sharing insights that could support Sri Lanka’s own educational development.
He reaffirmed Canada’s continued support for Sri Lanka’s progress, emphasizing that Ottawa remains committed to assisting the island nation in its development journey.
