COLOMBO – Borella Ahadiyyah School had organized its 37th Islamic New Year (Muharram) Celebration at the All Ceylon YMMA Conference Auditorium, Colombo on Sunday July 23.
It was held under the patronage of Principal of the Ahadiyyah School Al Haj. Shibly Hashim.
Colombo Grandpass Sudarshanaramaya Temple Chief Incumbent Ven. Kiriban are Vijitha Thero, Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation Muslim Service Former Director Al Haj. M.Z. Ahamed Munawwar, Moulavi M.R. Mulafer and Mrs. Shamra Sadath addressed the gathering.
Uniform Materials, Exercise Books and Plants were distributed to the students at this ceremony.
Galle Thalapitiya Ahadiyyah Ex President Al Haj. M. Uvaim, Faizal Anver, Wekanda Jumma Mosque Trustee Basheer Latheef, Central YMMA Anver Sadath, A.S.M. Naseem Haji, Teachers, Students and Parents were graced the ceremony.
