COLOMBO : Badaovita United SC dominated Yonex SC with a resounding 4-0 victory in the City Football League knockout tournament, booking their place in the final.
The match began with both teams competing fiercely, but Badaovita took the lead in the 23rd minute when Mohamed Shiyam scored with a simple strike. The tempo remained high throughout the first half.
In the second half, Mohamed Haizer delivered a stunning goal, curling the ball into the top-left corner to double the lead. He then added a third with a determined run through Yonex’s defense. Finally, substitute Roshan Madusanka sealed the win with a late goal in the final moments, bringing the score to 4-0.
