COLOMBO: On an intervention by Former Governor and National Unity Alliance Leader Azath Salley, the Azan service, Call for Prayers, at the SLBC Muslim Service, was resumed on Thursday, March 24.
In response to a request made by Salley, the SLBC Chairman Hudson Samarasinge, made arrangements to resume the Azan services which was stopped due to unknown reasons four days ago.
“ It was sad that none of the Muslim officials at the SLBC had noticed this sudden lapse which was brought to his notice by hundreds of Muslim listeners from Sri Lanka as well as from Tamil Nadu.
