COLOMBO – Sri Lanka Co-operative Marketing Federation Ltd (MARKFED) has found a new strategy to market its groceries speedily.
Packet of Rathi-400 gram milk powder, which is in high demand at present,could be bought from its Pettah outlet when a customer buys other groceries and vegetables for more than Rs 500.
When Colombo Times inquired from the cashier he said the management had asked him to do so.
Disgusted customers were seen shouting how can they pay Rs 500 extra to buy groceries to buy the packet of milk powder for Rs 380.
