DUBAI: India recorded its second consecutive win in the Asia Cup 2022 with a win against Hong Kong by 40 runs. Batting first India scored 192 for the loss of two wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav displayed a batting fiesta and remained unbeaten at 59 (44 balls) and 68 runs (26 balls) respectively. Yadav toyed with the Hong Kong bowling and hit 6 boundaries and 6 sixers in his innings of 68 runs.
The chase for Hong Kong was a daunting task and at the end of ten overs Hong Kong scored 65 runs for the loss of 2 wickets. Babar Hayat batted well for 41 runs off 35 balls. India managed to restrict Hong Kong to 152 for loss of 5 wickets in the allotted 20 overs to win by 40 runs. India with 2 wins will proceed to the Super 4 round.
