COLOMBO –Army Commander General Shavendra Silva advised people to consider their social responsibilities and urged them to get the COVID-19 vaccine booster shots as soon as possible.
He was speaking to the media at the closing ceremony of the Inter Regiment Combat Shooting Competition-2021 held at Diyatalawa yesterday (Jan 29).
Army Commander General Shavendra Silva called on those who have not yet taken the booster dose to take immediate action as an increase in the number of Covid patients has been observed in the past few weeks.
He said that special vaccination centers and mobile vaccination programs are being implemented from Monday,Jan.31 to provide the booster shots.
