COLOMBO — The rich and dynamic coffee culture of Vietnam has officially arrived in Sri Lanka’s capital through the unique “Sips of Viet Nam” event, hosted at the Sheraton Colombo. Running from September 11th to the 20th, this cultural and culinary showcase is a collaborative effort between the Embassy of Viet Nam in Sri Lanka, the Sheraton Colombo hotel, and Aramour Coffee Roasters, offering a profound opportunity to experience exquisite beverages crafted from organic Vietnamese coffee beans.
The grand inauguration drew the attendance of high-ranking officials, highlighting the strong bilateral ties and shared appreciation for the culinary arts between the two nations. Among the distinguished guests were Mr. K.A. Vimalenthirarajah, Secretary of the Ministry of Trade, Commerce, Food Security and Cooperative Development, and Her Excellency Mrs. Trinh Thi Tam, Ambassador of Vietnam.
At the heart of this international showcase is Aramour Coffee Roasters—a pioneering Vietnamese brand driven by a mission to provide the highest quality, clean coffee products through a closed value chain, from farming and harvesting to roasting and brewing. The brand’s philosophy is deeply rooted in sustainable, eco-friendly development and the restoration of natural ecosystems. Their operations are based on three core values: preserving the original flavors of the coffee, upholding sustainability through chemical-free organic farming practices, and fostering community connections through educational workshops and inviting green spaces.
The exceptional flavors presented to coffee enthusiasts in Colombo are the result of the rigorous agricultural standards applied by Aramour. The brand collaborates closely with dedicated farmers, such as Mr. Coi, who manages a 3-hectare farm located at an average altitude of 1,450 to 1,500 meters in the Min Mountain area of Da Lat, Lam Dong. Demonstrating a strong commitment to long-term quality, this farm underwent a soil reclamation process and the replanting of over 7,000 coffee trees since 2016 to ensure a premium yield for key varieties such as Catimor, THA1, and Yellow Cherry. Similarly, Aramour introduces An Farm in Lam Ha, Lam Dong—situated at an average altitude of over 1,000 meters, an ideal condition that helps the quality of Robusta beans reach an excellent level. The farm is operated by Ms. Duyen Anh, a resilient farmer specializing in the ancient “Búp Tím” (Purple Bud) Robusta variety combined with an anaerobic fermentation process. This dedication recently helped An Farm win first place at the Amazing Cup Coffee 2025, a prestigious national green coffee bean competition.
Visitors to the CBS area at the Sheraton Colombo (open daily from 7:00 AM to 10:30 PM) can taste the fruits of this dedication. The menu features beverages meticulously crafted by baristas from Vietnam, highlighted by the traditional Cà Phê Nâu (Vietnamese milk coffee), refreshing Cold Brew, the uniquely savory-sweet Cà Phê Muối (salt coffee), and the rich, iconic Cà Phê Trứng (egg coffee).
The event also serves as an occasion to introduce Aramour’s signature roasted coffee lines. Customers can experience the Classic Blend, featuring notes of citrus zest and brown sugar; the New Age Collab—a combination of premium Arabica beans with hints of roasted nuts and chocolate candy; and the Saigon Blend—a bold Robusta processed using the honey method, delivering a surprising taste of milk chocolate and dried berries.
Already a beloved brand with bustling locations across Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, Aramour Coffee Roasters is now successfully taking its expertise and distinctive Vietnamese style to the global stage. The “Sips of Viet Nam” event promises to leave a deep impression on Sri Lanka’s hospitality industry, offering locals and international travelers the chance to enjoy the authentic taste of Vietnam’s finest coffee beans.
