COLOMBO — The Annual Awards Day Celebrations of the Muslim Ladies College, Bambalapitiya was held at the College Hajara Hall on Thursday May 2.
It was held under the patronage of Principal of the College Ms. Nazriya Munas.
The Senior Commissioner, Department of Inland Revenue Dr. Nadee Dissanayake was present as the chief guest.
The students of the primary section performed the welcome dance.
Principal of the College Ms. Nazriya Munas presented the Principal’s Report. The most outstanding student of the College for the year 2021 Fathima Rifdha and most outstanding student of the College for the year 2022 Fathima Imarah received Past Pupil’s Gold Coin and Staff Challenge Trophies from the chief guest Dr. Nadee Dissanayake.
Also distributed awards to the best attendance of students, best attendee among the teachers, outstanding performer at the Grade 5 scholarship examination, best performer at the GCE O/L Examination 9A’s and best performer at the GCE A/L Examination for the year 2022.
Principal Nazriya Munas presented a token of appreciation to the chief guest Dr. Nadee Dissanayake at this ceremony.
Deputy Principals Ms. Akeeda Nauman, Ms. Rasmiya Aboobucker and Azmie Kariapper, Assistant Principals Ms. M.N.F. Marjana, Ms. G. Chandrika Priyangani , Ms. M. Farzana and Ms. M.I.S. Fareesa along with Head of Primary and Assistant Principal Ms. W.C.K. Botheju , Past Pupils Association Vice President Feroza Muzammil, members of the Past Pupils Association and School Development Committee, invitees school principals, teachers, parents and students were also present.
Head Prefect Shabra Kutubjan proposed the vote of thanks.
