COLOMBO — The ‘Ananda Walk 2024’ organised by the Ananda College Old Boys’ Association (ACOBA) parade under the theme ‘Educate and empower to serve mother Lanka’ was held on Sunday July 7.
It was held under the patronage of the Principal of the College D. M. L. P. Dissanayake. The Ananda Walk 2024 is a fundraising event organized annually by the Old Boys Association.
The Ananda Walk commenced from the Ananda College premises and reached the Open Air Theatre of Viharamahadevi Park with colourful floats and exotic cars joining the procession honoured by Sri Lanka Air Force helicopters flying above.
Defence Secretary G.D.H. General Kamal Gunaratne , Former Speaker of Parliament Karu Jayasuriya, President of the OBA Prof. Athula Kaluarachchi, The Commander of the Sri Lanka Air Force, Air Marshal Udeni Rajapaksa , Central Bank Governor Nandalal Weerasinghe including large number of Old Boys, Students, Teachers, Parents and well-wishers also participated in the event .
