The “ ABV WALK 2024 “ Ananda Balika Walk organized by the Ananda Balika Vidyalaya Old Girls’ Association, Colombo to mark the 100 years of School on 20th Sunday the October at 1.30 p.m. under the theme of “ A Step forward from the Century “ .
The walk will commence from the Ananada Balika Vidyalaya premises and reach the Open Air Theater of Viharamadevi Park passing Ward Place and teachers, present students, old girls, past teachers and parents will be participating in this walk. A song will be launched at the Viharamadevi Park, said Principal of the School Mrs. W.B.G. Kumudunie at the media briefing held at the school auditorium recently.
Also launched T’ shirt, Cap, Car badge and sticker at the media conference in this connection.
This walk is a fund-raising event organized by the ABVOGA and the funds from the event will be utilized to construct the four storied building for school, said Secretary of the OGA Ruchira Yapa Abeywardene.
Ms. Madhavi Dissanayake, Former Deputy Principal and Advisor of OGA, Miss. Ranudi Pomodya Galagedara, Head Prefect and Ms. Chithra Kumari Kalubowila, Senior Journalist and Past Pupil of Andanda Balika Vidyalaya were also present at the media briefing.
