COLOMBO – Al Mustafa International University had organized a Convocation Ceremony 2023 which was held at BMICH recently.
It was held under the patronage of the Representative of Mustafa International University and Director of Avicenna Institute for Global Learning Hujjathul Islam Seyed Zeinul Abideen Mirfatemi.
Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Sri Lanka Dr. Hashem Ashjazadeh was present as a chief guest and presented the graduation certificates to the LLB, BA Political Science, BA Islamic Studies, Diploma in Psychology and Counseling and Diploma in Human Rights students.


Ambassador Hashem Ashjazadeh said the Islamic Republic of Iran is ready and willing to develop its scientific and mainly academic cooperation with other countries, especially Sri Lanka through expanding the exchange of professors and students and holding short-term and long-term courses which can be the beginning of this very important path, and in the meantime, the experiences of Ibn Sina University as an international academic center with dozens of branches around the world can act as the executive arm of this cooperation.
Also said in the past years, academic cooperation between the two countries has not developed as expected, and we are now planning to do this important decision by understanding this issue. The Cultural Consultancy of the Islamic Republic of Iran has taken measures in this field in the past few years, and the Embassy also is seriously pursuing this matter.
Keynote Address was delivered by a Senior Lecturer, Department of Public and International Law and Faculty of Law University of Colombo M.A.M. Hakeem.
Also presented a token of appreciation to the chief guest, keynote speaker and other lecturers at this ceremony.
Cultural Counsellor of Iran Cultural Centre Dr. Bahman Moazamil, Chief of Economic and Consular Embassy of Iran K. Soheil, Defence Attaché Colonel Homayoun Aliyari and Senior Officials of the Embassy were also present.
