COLOMBO — Al Ihsan Trust Sri Lanka (AITS) distributed 1100 dry rations packs for deserving widows under the sponsorship of Orphan and Need in the UK. It was distributed on Sunday February 26 at Al Hijra Maha Vidyalaya premises.
Al Ihsan Trust has distributed during the past 13 years for widows during the Holy Month of Ramazan. This year and they distributed Kandy, Puttalam, Vavuniya, Kaluthara, Beruwela, Malwana and Panadura.
This project was held under the guidance of AITS director project Nissther Annis with Al Ihsan trustees Musthanier Annis and Althaf Zahir.
Nissther Annis, decided to help the poor and the needy in the island and thus the charity was formed in January 2013,
Since its inception, AITS has provided services supporting needy orphans and Widows in their Education, construction of Water Wells, Ramadan Food Parcels (Dry Rations) and Free Eye and Medical Clinic.
Also they distribute School Books, Bags, Water Bottles and Shoes in several schools in Colombo and Suburbs.
